I’m exploring how Art and Parasocial interactions mix within the modern media landscape of Japan and Europe.

Currently, I’m in the process of writing Cute, Artificial, Acceptable: Why Japan Embraces VTubers, and Europe Hesitates, a paper that tracks the history of how parasocial interactions within Japan and gives a hypothesis to why there is a considerably discrepancy between the two regions.
